Best Practices
- Compress before merging — Reduce PDF file sizes with the Compressor before merging to keep output files manageable
- Repair forms first — If form fields are not being detected in the mail merge editor, use Form Repair to fix the PDF
- Convert images before merging — Use Images to PDF to convert image collections into a single PDF template
- Use QR Code Generator for single codes — For one-off QR codes, the standalone tool is faster than setting up a mail merge
Limitations
- Browser memory — Very large files (100+ MB) may cause performance issues on devices with limited RAM
- No OCR — The tools cannot perform optical character recognition on scanned documents
- No batch processing — Each tool processes one file (or a small set) at a time. For bulk operations, use the REST API
